The Hero’s Journey has two key stages where the Being experiences a transition: The Belly of the Whale and the Apotheosis. The first is the most significant, since it implies a leap of faith where the hero abandons beliefs and outdated ideas that are no longer enough to advance on his path and so he embraces a new identity, necessary to face the trials that lie ahead.
