Lucas Rodríguez

Hello! My name is Lucas Rodríguez, and I’ll tell you a bit about myself. I was born on December 23, 1985, in Mendoza, Argentina, where I have lived all these years. Although I had an early curiosity about transcendental themes and existential concerns, my journey of self-discovery unfolded more concretely during my university years. Through various readings and encounters with different people, my curiosity for inner worlds was awakened. Through various courses, workshops, and experiences, I delved into this vast world that I still navigate.

At the age of 13, music entered my life to stay, through the guitar as the main instrument, exploring various styles. Art and design also became a significant part of my life at that age, as I clearly knew that was what I wanted to study and pursue. Even today, I do so with my design studio, Hexa, in Mendoza.

Looking back, over 15 years ago, my first encounter with yoga, tantra, and meditation happened through Osho’s active meditations. It was an initiation into meditation and powerful Eastern breathing technologies that transported me and connected me with a new reality. During that time, in my mid-twenties, I went through several years of participating in various advanced knowledge courses, yogic practices, and silent retreats. This also led me to volunteer on different occasions and in different places, as this group promoted selfless social service. Each of these experiences opened up a new perspective on the interaction between the environment and my internal space, which was cultivated with each experience. The breathing and meditation techniques were potent and created space for very profound internal processes.

A few years later, through several friends with whom I shared these Eastern practices, I came into contact with a beautiful spiritual work group that I have been actively participating in for over 12 years. This energetic work group is called Unitary Science, and I feel that as its teachings have advanced, it has contributed so much to my nourishment and development that the opportunity to share it and accompany others on their journey has arisen organically and beautifully.

During my studies of Unitary Science, I began practicing Yoga regularly with my teacher Gigi Berti, who would become my companion on a beautiful shared path. For several years, in addition to this practice, I began to explore different schools and lineages, taking courses with other instructors and experiencing this vast world of Yoga. I completed trainings in Iyengar Yoga, sustained practice, and courses in Ashtanga Yoga, Tibetan Yantra Yoga, Yin Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Purna Yoga, and Acroyoga, among others, until I finally discovered Kundalini Yoga, a practice that had a profound impact on me.

My first approach to Kundalini Yoga was through Teacher Surya Kaur. I quickly resonated with these teachings as they integrate and synthesize much of what I had been working on and experiencing. Then came the opportunity to train, and I took the instructor training in Córdoba, Argentina, with Masters Pritam Pal Singh Khalsa and Ardas Kaur Khalsa, who have over 40 years of experience in practice and lead trainings throughout Latin America. I enjoyed and learned a great deal from those teachings, a learning that continues to this day. I continued with trainings related to Kundalini Yoga Level 2 and Naad Yoga, the yoga of sound, specifically working with the vibration of the Gong and therapeutic sound.

In these Naad Yoga trainings, I had my initiation with Kalygong in Mar del Plata and continued my practices and sound studies with Don Conreaux in La Plata, completing his Gong Master Training a few years ago, adding more self-exploration tools and powerful meditation and transformation techniques in both instances.

In 2012, I met Matías when he was in Mendoza with his Harwitum path. As a group from Unitary Science, we invited him to tell us about his path, his mission, and we ended up talking for over 7 hours after he had been activating in Plaza Independencia… and as you can imagine, he was intact, like new. After that opportunity, every time he came to Mendoza, he was invited to share with our group, which welcomed him warmly, and of course, he was an honored guest at our meetings where we could exchange the gifts of the internal connections that were generated. A gift! These encounters strengthened a friendship that led those resonating with his work to offer to form an energetic support team for 11/11/2018. And there I was one of the 6 who were contributing to that powerful event.

This was the precedent for later in 2020, with the Yosoy path, to have the opportunity to be part of the Idilien team and participate in several trips to Egypt, first preparing as a core group, sharing meditations for a whole year with this team, and finally coordinating work groups in the following trips. Unforgettable experiences. In these encounters, the tools acquired from Kundalini Yoga could be shared to align, calibrate, and foster internal states.

In summary, the yogic discipline has contributed immensely to my development on many levels. Kundalini Yoga has led me to challenge myself, confront myself, and encounter myself more and more, developing my potential in continuous evolution in the development of my Being. I believe the most beautiful aspect of these teachings is finding one’s own mastery, and a large part of it lies in sharing what has been learned, highlighting a phrase that accompanies me in my growth: “If you want to learn something, read about it. If you want to understand something, write about it. If you want to master something, teach it.”
