My name is Pavita Machado, I was born in born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, where I am currently living.

I graduated in University as a Physiotherapist in 1990. While in University I was always more interested in studying body awareness schools (Antigymnastics, Eutonia, Psychomotricity) rather than in the disease-oriented way of seeing and treating the body. That led me to learn Active Meditations and to train in Bioenergetics and Primal therapy (1990-1993), which I started to work with, and Reichian Therapy (1993-96). From 1997 to 2004 I lived and studied in an international University and Therapeutic Community in Holland called Humaniversity. There I trained in Encounter, Communal Living, Sex Counselling, and a general Therapist Training. I became a staff member of this University, leading groups on Bioenergetics, Rebirthing and Sexuality Awareness there and in other countries (Sweden, India, Argentina, Israel and England). Back to Brazil in 2004 I started a Therapeutic Community in Porto Alegre, which grew from 8 to 80 people in the course of 15 years. During this period I led Primal, Bioenergetics, Sexuality and Relationship groups in this community, besides longer residential programs. For 9 years I was also co-leading The Bioenergetics Intensive Training there and supervising the therapists from Namaste Centre. Parallel to group activities I was always seeing individual clients.

From 2013 to 2015 I took the Working with People and Advanced Working with People Trainings with Turyia van Hanover and Rafia Morgan, centred in Essence work. Since then my work has shifted consistently integrating Inquiry and Essence oriented approach to therapy.

Also since 2013 I work as a therapist of the Path of Love process, founded by these two teachers.

In 2020, parallel to starting the path of Yosoy with Matias I went through a big transformation in my life, leaving the Commune I had been in for 15 years and starting to work solo, mainly online, with individual and group therapy combining Bioenergetics and Inquiry. I named this method Bioinquiry. Meditation has also always been an important part of my path and my work.

I am passionate about both learning and teaching, aware that these two polarities interweave completely and constantly. So I am very much looking forward to this movement with the University!
