SUMMARY

In this dialogue between the “I” and the “Am” , rain and rainbows are used as metaphors to explain how our internal emotions and thoughts influence our external experiences. It emphasizes the importance of becoming aware of our emotions and thoughts to change the way we live and experience life. Ultimately, it suggests that we are the cause of our own effects in life.

QUOTE

“For there to be a rainbow, it has to rain.”

EXERCISE

  1. Inner Rainbow Meditation:

  • Sit in a quiet place and close your eyes.

  • Imagine a bright and vivid rainbow in front of you.

  • Associate each color of the rainbow with an emotion or quality you wish to cultivate in yourself (for example, red may represent passion, green peace, blue serenity).

  • Visualize each color of the rainbow filling your body and mind with those qualities as you inhale and exhale deeply.

  • Continue this process until you feel in tune with the energies of each color and balanced within.

  1. Reflection on Effect and Cause Meditation:

  • Reflect on recent events in your life and the emotions they triggered.

  • Identify the beliefs or thoughts that caused those emotions.

  • Ask yourself if those thoughts and beliefs are constructive or limiting.

  • Visualize how you could change those limiting beliefs into more positive and constructive thoughts.

  • Practice this meditation regularly to become aware of your thought and emotion patterns.
