THE PROCESS

SUMMARY:

Matías explains how love resembles food in its function of nourishing existence. He compares falling in love to seeking energy to nurture oneself, turning the Universe into a digestive system that seeks growth. Love is seen as divine sustenance, giving life and strength, propelling evolution and development. He highlights how cultures link food with love, from breastfeeding to sharing moments with family or friends. He mentions that the universe seeks that love that makes us feel complete. Matías also reflects on human haste for enlightenment and the awakening process, contrasting it with the long timescales of evolution. He compares human life to digestion, emphasizing the importance of respecting processes and cycles to be more aware.

QUOTE:

“Love is thus understood as a divine food that gives life, strength… that expands, propels the evolution and development of the Self.”

EXERCISES:

  1. Spiritual Nutrition Meditation: Dedicate a few minutes each day to sit in silence and close your eyes. Imagine that you are absorbing loving and nourishing energy from the universe through your breath. Visualize this energy as divine sustenance that fills you with vitality and love. Feel how this energy flows throughout your being, nourishing every cell and expanding your consciousness.
  2. Process and Patience Meditation: Sit comfortably and focus on your breath. As you inhale, think of the word “process,” and as you exhale, think of the word “patience.” Let these words guide your breath and your mind. Recognize that spiritual awakening and personal growth are processes that require time and patience, just like digestion.
  3. Mental and Emotional Fasting Meditation: Dedicate daily time to disconnect from external distractions, such as social media or news. Close your eyes and allow your mind and emotions to quiet down. Observe any thoughts or emotions that arise but do not attach to them. Let them flow and dissolve, allowing your mind to rest from the constant “digestion” of information.
  4. Self-Inquiry Meditation: Sit in a quiet place and ask yourself reflective questions about your life. What past experiences or relationships have you not fully digested? What emotions or situations are causing you distress? Reflect on how you can process and release these emotional burdens to find greater balance and inner peace.
  5. Nature Connection Meditation: Find a peaceful outdoor spot where you can sit. Close your eyes and feel the connection with the surrounding nature. Imagine that you are absorbing the revitalizing energy of the earth, sun, and air. Recognize that, just as the body is nourished by a variety of foods, your spirit also thrives on the energy of nature.
